Mediumship-
Connecting to loved ones in spirit through Mediumship is a simple matter of adjusting our awareness and allowing our senses to go beyond this three dimensional physical reality. We have the five basic senses of touch, sight, feel, smell, and hearing. These function in the physical realm. Our light bodies can also hear, see and feel. We call these clairaudience, clairvoyance, and clairessentience. The medium is able to use these senses a great deal more than most people.
Our physical body has several layers or extended bodies that most people cannot see with their ordinary eyes. This is appropriate for this experience on earth. However we have layers of energy bodies that have different functions.
The first layer is our physical body. We use this body to function in the physical realm.
Next we have our emotional body. The emotional layer has a higher vibration than the physical and extends beyond the physical about three to eight inches. We express our emotions through this layer. This layer is very fluid when seen clairvoyantly.
The mental layer is next and extends a little beyond the emotional layer and penetrates it. All of the layers are interconnected. Think of these layers as a hologram. Our mental body expresses through the physical brain. When you see this field through your third eye, you would probably see thousands of little blinking lights. This body is even finer than the emotional body.
The next layer is what is call the soul body or astral body. It is also a very fluid energy and mostly a pink color. This body is associated with love and functions through the heart chakra. It extends from six to twelve beyond the physical body.
The layer after this the soul emotional body. Then we have the soul mental body, followed by the causal body. All of these bodies are interconnected to each other.
At the time of death, the emotional, mental, soul, soul emotional, soul mental, and casual bodies (light bodies) pull away from the physical body taking the life force with them. The soul now exists in an astral body. Which is appropriate for the astral realm. The light body spirit still has feelings for loved ones left behind and still is able to think.
For the spirit entity to connect to a medium all they have to do is merge the aura of the medium and connect their mental field to mind. Now a mind to mind communication takes place. Symbolism is the language of the universe. The disincarnate spirit will impress a message of symbols through their mental field to the medium's mental field. The medium will often hear a combination of words, see images, and feel impressions from the disincarnate spirit. Usually the first thing the spirit will tell the medium is their name. If they had an unusual name, they might try spelling it. Sometimes they will sing little songs or poems to get their name across like "Rocking Robin". One young girl in spirit named Robin who was killed in a car accident comes in with that song. The medium will hear the song over and over until they acknowledge it. Then the spirit will know they have made contact. I ask them for some type of evidence of their life or something about their loved ones life. They will give me little scenes, symbols about their life and I try to describe them to my client. I am fascinated by the many facts spirit can communicate to us. Their ability to communicate is determined by the state of their emotions and mental field at the time of transition. If they were in a chaotic state of mind when they crossed over their messages might also be chaotic. They might be able to get a little bit through to the medium but it could be fuzzy. I think it takes a little practice for them to work with us.
Once a friend of mine gave me a photo to see if I could pick anything up on the young man in the picture. The first thing I saw was a symbol of a cross so, I knew the boy was dead. Then I started feeling a little nauseous. Which tells me the spirit of the boy was trying to tell me how he died. He told me "Jack did it". I asked his name and I got "m" or "em" sound but the name was not English. It sounded like Emil or emillio. She gave me other impressions but I could not make sense of them. My friend was working on the case and had been asking for the boy to come in and give some information. The boy was missing at the time and the police suspected foul play. His body was found about six months after this reading, and his wife was found guilty of murdering him. His name was John and everyone called him Jack. Her name did begin with the letters "EM".
I have an angel spirit who helps me with my mediumship. She helps the discarnate spirit to communicate and she helps me to understand what they are trying to say. She also monitors my physical body while I'm in an altered state. She has help on the other side with another angel spirit guide, he lets only spirits of light and love near my aura. One guide meets them at the door so to speak and the other helps them talk to their loved ones through me. She can help speed up the process by showing me symbols that I can decipher quickly. For instance she will show me a BIG Apple to get the idea of New York, a little apple is a school teacher. A loaf of bread was a baker or lived by a bakery. A bow and arrow will be a first or last name Robin, Robinson, etc.
One of the fears people have about mediumship is about a verse in the Bible that indicates thou will not call up spirits. The Church knew if the average man could make their own contact with God/Goddess, or their ancestors, they might lose power over the people. Of course they would have. So they manipulated the meaning of scriptures at times. The Bible had many, many people interpreting it before it was printed in English. The majority of these people did their best to interpret accurately the scriptures. But due to human error some things were not. We also have to keep in mind very few people were educated and could read and write. So the average man did not know how to read what the Bible said anyway. An educated individual who can contact her own God self is an empowered individual. The powers in the churches did not want the masses educated, that would empower them individually and possibly take the Church out of the loop to God. They liked having the power of being the intermediary to God and didn't want give that up. So we have the verse thou shall not call up spirits. It is true you should never blindly call up any old spirit hanging around. There are lots of mischievous entities that like to pull pranks on unsuspecting earthlings. Be very specific when calling in relatives or others in the astral realm. In this earth space-time reality, we have free will. It is the greatest gift God has given us. It is for the purpose of gathering experience. We have this "free will" and entities outside our dimension know this and they cannot come unless invited. So when I ask for connection to spirit I always specify Spirits of light who love us. I only do mediumship in a protected and sacred space. It is important to invoke the Christed presence or the highest deity you are aligned with. The Buddha, Jesus, Mary, Isis or Mohamed,God, Goddes whoever you work with. Then I ask for the Archangels, Healing Angels, and ancestors who love us. Being specific about who is invited in to your space helps keep a high vibration of light and love around you. Negative spirits can not penetrate that aura.
The next question people ask is "why bother to contact them". Normally the spirit wants to connect to assure the relative or loved one that they are OK and not in pain. They may have unfinished business or want to apologize to the survivor for some pain they had caused them in this life. A spirit cannot ascend to the higher realms of heaven until their auras are cleansed and they've forgiven anyone who has hurt them, or obtained forgiveness from one they had wronged. By apologizing to their loved ones here through a medium they can release the guilt they were holding in their auras. Now they can move on in their own spiritual growth. They may want to assure the loved one that there is life after death. People can really start to live when they are no longer afraid to die. The spirit can give incredible and detailed evidence that proves they are who they say they are and there is continuing life.
Often we will get the first name and then ask for evidence, then messages. Occasionally we will get first name and last name. That's Fun. My Angel guide and the incoming spirit try to use things in my vocabulary or mental computer to cross reference from. But some times I will get data that I don't know where I've every heard that from or words in languages I don't know.
Sometimes people come to us because the person died suddenly and they might need to find important documents like wills. If their loved one connects they will usually give them a clue of where to look. Pets also can come through in circles and very often do. I was talking to a man one day and I started seeing Boots and feeling an impression of a dog. I asked him if he had a dog as a child named Boots. He did. Boots the dog was with another spirit who had an unusual name. I was having a hard time receiving it. I was seeing the letters "Cho" but hearing a name like "Collen". Her name was Chole. It was his grandmother. His favorite one at that. She was spending time with the dog until her grandson could. In one of my spirit circles I sat in a rocking chair while I gave messages. The chair rocked by itself for the next 24 hours. Just realize the wood is energy at a low vibration and a disincarnate spirit is also energy at a faster frequency. It probably was not that hard for a spirit to rock that chair. He was just trying to get someone's attention. He got it too.
When a person is in deep grief over the loss of a loved one it is very therapeutic to connect to them in this manner and hear evidence and messages and know they are still alive on another plane of existence and not lost to us forever. One phrase I hear over and over is, "You don't know how much better I feel, so at peace". It helps in the grieving process tremendously. We also realize that we can connect to them anytime we wish, and we haven't been abandoned.
While the medium is resonating to the spirit they might feel some of the things the spirit felt before they died. For instance if they had crossed with cancer, they might feel nauseous from the drugs. When someone commits suicide, they will try to show me how they died. I've looked down the barrel of a few guns. You might also feel some of the despair they had felt before they died. At times you feel their relief at not being here. I have talked to some very young spirits who said they did not need to be here very long. The short life they had lived was enough to fulfill the karma they were working on.
Everyone has some ability to perceive beyond this dimension. A medium is just more sensitive than most. If you are interested in awakening your own psychic senses there are lots of ways of doing that. What I did was dedicate two hours a day to meditating. It is important to realize that when you pray you are talking to God-Goddess/All That Is and when you are meditating you are listening to them. You must be dedicated to this plan and fine tune your energy field so you can perceive beyond the normal senses. I also chant "Om-mani- padme-hum", and the letter "E" to open your heart and clear negativity. And the letter "A" to stimulate the brain, especially the pituitary and pineal glands.
These exercises help awaken your own ability to see beyond the veil.
